Does anyone know the most current version of the Mercedes DVD Navigation disc? My 2006 ML350 was manufactured in May of 2006 and it arrived with cd disc version 2005.1. It seems a bit outdated. I am a REALTOR and when I enter any home address of 2003 and newer construction homes they are not located. My service manager at the dealer said he will research it but has not got back to me. The CD box states that it is also used in 2005 C and CLK class. Did they just take the same 2005 disc and carry it over into late production 2006 vehicles? Should I demand the most current navigation disc from my dealer?

 

Well that sounds familiar. I purchased an 06 ML350 in Mar, 06; it was built in Nov, 05. It does not recognize the street I live on. The street was built in 1985 and has been on all the major databases for maps since 1989. The street shows on the map. Nav does not recognize the street name. If the dvd has been updated, I'm not sure the update will fix the problem. Anyone hae ideas? I can't teach it where home is.

 

I also have the 2005.1 disc, which did seem awfully old to me too. I think I had a newer disc in my E.

Uncle dan, go to navteq.com and report the problem. If the street is that old, it may have just been missed. I've reported a few minor mistakes. While they take a couple of weeks or more to respond, they do respond. However, they don't guarantee that the next disc you get from MB will have the change noted.
