New TSB's ???
 

In a conversation with my SA yesterday re setting up a service appoint for my E Class he ran my VIN of my ML500 and found two new TSB's. First is on the gear change solinoid and involves a synch proceedure the second is the install of a shim in the exhaust system. Said that both should only take a half hour and he was not certain of exactly what they were supposed to correct. Told him I would make an appointment to bring it in and wait for it since its so simple.

There are several TSB's and recall's out right now for the '06 ML. I had several completed just last week and notice a big improvement in the shifting. Also a few minor problems that kept popping up like oil light, SRS light, tailgate inoperable, etc.

The 2 I mentioned were the only open ones applicable to my VIN. The others may apply to earlier ML's. I have absolutly no problem with my tailgate or the shifting. Mine was delivered Sept 05 and was an early sept 05 build.

TSBs
 

My 6/05 production 350 (12.8k mi.) was in the dealer 8/30. The following were performed:

- Campaign 2006010005 Suspension Plate Update (Airmatic)
Install 025080 plates at both upper control arms, 3.2 hrs.

- Driveline update TB41.10/03 (I brought in info on this one)
Replace bolts at driveshaft, 0.9 hrs

- Campaign 2006060002 164 Suspension Compressor
Check compressor for air suspension, 0.3 hrs.

- Campaign 2006060005 164 xhaust Bracket
Retrofit shim plate(s) between front exhaust system bracket and transmission, 0.4 hrs.

- Campaign 200608003 COMAND Navigation Software
Install software (BTW, this wipes out things you have in memory, incl. radio presets), 0.5 hrs.

Recalls
 

No recalls that I know of, except for the steering hose clamp that only affected a small number of vehicles. Recalls are safety-related items that are government mandated. Service actions, campaigns and TSBs are considered less serious.

Greg, any idea of what the Command software update accomplishes?? The others that you mentioned are not or seem not to be applicable to my ML500 which was an early Sept 05 build. I do not even know yet if the command update is applicable. The only 2 I am aware of are the ones mentioned earlier in this thread.

Greg, Thanks for the info. I have experienced no malfunctions at all and from the date I am assuming that my ML is up to date as so far as the command. It was built about a month after this was issued.
