I have an 07 ML500 with keyless go. Every time I open the drivers door the chime starts and goes for a solid minute or until I close the door.
If anyone knows whether the chime can be disabled through the diagnostic computer or any other way, PLEASE HELP!
Benz dealer said can't do anything for me and mbusa said same. Some legal liability issue.

 

you can always go to the dealer, they will do it though stardianose. should be free......well has to be free if your warranty is not expired.

Benz dealer says can't do anything about it as does MBUSA. Something about legal liability issue.

 

Would any independent shop have the software to take care of this? I know of some shops in town that have the star-tech consoles. I dunno if they have such software for the new ml's, however, code is code. all it is is 1's and 0's on's and off's

 

I'm sorry, but I guess I don't undertand your problem. Wouldn't closing the door and getting underway resolve the issue?
