I was able to get the pic to update in my avatar, but I do not know how to post pictures, can someone tell me how to do it?

This is how I do it: Start with presseing quotebutton, then you will see all these symbols; press the black paper clip, then upload files from your pc, -> upload->press the black paper clip again and finally manage attachments!!
