Best Floor Mats
I tried the standard OEM mats, MB All Weather Mats and Weathertech. All are lacking in one way or another.
I just got these from http://www.cocomats.com and am very pleased. They worked with me to pattern an exact fit for my 2007 ML320 CDI, especially in the left foot rest "dead pedal" area. These mats will hold a lot of "crap" and won't show the dirt.

Dutch - to each their own but I suppose with a light interior like yours unless you take your shoes off to drive what else can you do! I got the rubber mats in my 2007 ML 320cdi and am quite pleased with them. They are a nice 'functional' complement to the fairly industrial look of the rest of the detail in my car (black interior). I would not be good with a light interior like yours since I am on and off jobsites. Black does not hide dust well though and I need to hose my mats several times a week to keep them looking OK - you may be right those cocomats on a beige background could conceal a multitude of sins....I wonder how they would be in black.

Another Color
This one is called "JAVA". It certainly matches my Macadamia interior better than the first set; but it won't hide as well the kind of soil I can get into, so I'll stick with my original choice.

Floor Mats
Dutch, Followed your advise and got a set of the coco floor mats.
They are well made and the dark color I got will not look maked up and dirty with the light tan interior.

Has anyone tried the new Yes mats from Milliken? They look pretty sweet and are custom-cut in a variety of colors.
