Doors & Horn Beep
As has been complained about elsewhere, the doorlock beep horn signal is not available on the 2007 US W164's.
However, mine has just recently started to give a short horn beep when I close (not lock) either of the front doors. This doesn't happen with the rear doors.
This is not a big deal, but wondering minds always want to know why something is happening. Is this a signal for something wrong? Thoughts?

Mine has never done that. I do not think that the beep is correct. I would have it looked at and I have no idea as to what it could be.

Mine is doing that and the dealer told me that he would have to hear it to tell me what it is but i dont feel like giving it to them for a day or two and come back so they can tell me that they dont know

Dutch: I did notice today that when I exited or entered the car with the sunroof open there is a short beep to alert you to look at the MFD which had a notice that the sunroof was open. Could this be what you heard?? I had forgotten about this as today is the first time I have opened the roof since last fall. Its not the horn but a warning beeper.

Called my dealer SA about it today. he has not heard of it happening to anyone else; and his chief technician has not either. If it comes back, I'll bring it in for them to look at.
