New ML 320 CDI and Question
I took delivery of my ML 320 CDI two weeks ago and yesterday we had our first road trip, now I have 800 miles on the clock. Overall I am impressed and don't regret skipping on the 2006 Touareg V10 that I almost bought 2 months ago. In spite of Touareg's more powerful engine I like the ML much better. The Touareg was front heavy and not as refined.
I love the Diesel, torque, mileage and price. On our 300 miles trip we averaged 25 mpg, not bad but looking forward for better mpg once the engine is broken in. The fuel price is great thou, ULSD can be found for $2.79/gal vs. Gasoline Premium at $3.35/gal.
Question for ML owners, anyone hardwired a V1 or other radar detector? I had a failed attempt today, besides the trouble I had with the wire, the stupid passenger compartment fuse box has only non-switched fuses. Any tips on this subject? Looks like the Mercedes engineers are not speeding , on my A4 and Mini Cooper it took 15 minutes to do the hard wiring, not so on the ML.
