thinking of selling 2006 ML500, a few questions.
We own a 2006 ML500 light blue and we are thinking of selling it. I just lost my job so we are thinking of down sizing to a rx350. I just want to ask you guys what's the best way to sell the car to get the best price? It is in pristine condition and the MSRP of the car was 63k. it has the following
comfort
air suspension
navi with harmon kardon
keyless go
lighting package
parktronic
power liftgate
factory side steps
so my questions is how would you guys try to sell the car and what price should i shoot for? we are located in the bay area.
TIA

Sorry to hear about the job situation. Check the Kelly Blue Book value. It'll give you a better idea of what it's worth. Expect to take a pretty big hit. MB is actually into the '08 model year. We are actually considering selling our Pilot and getting a '06 ML500. PM me if you are thinking about selling it and maybe we can talk and work something out. We're in the City. I wish you much success in finding a new job.

I have a loaded 2006 ML500 with around 22.5k miles on it. I was thinking of selling recently, so to get an idea on the value I hit up CarMax. They offered $38,000 for it. Looking online, that's a reasonable value for trade in, since mine has average miles and is in excellent condition.
In the end, my wife decided to wait another year to switch. We'll see what the next model year of vehicles bring and then make our decision.
Good luck with the job.

ezwinner...I think you're better off keeping your ML...the hit you take from selling it + the price of a new loaded RX (40k)...doesn't make much sense, unless there's some other factor that I'm missing

Thanks for the comments guys.
I just checked KBB and according to them a private party sale price my car in excellent is $43695 for 18k miles. and excellent for trade in is $40975. what do you guys think? we really don't know what to do because if we wait for the new RX, they will sell for close to sticker.
