Ml550 Mpg
Does anyone have the official MPG figures for the '08 ML550? I heard that they were to be slightly better than the ML500 but I have not seen anything listed anywhere. The local dealer has not received any yet. What is listed on the window sticker of the units already delivered? I ordered mine April 6th and am being told I should have it within 2 weeks. It's been a long wait!

Remember 2008 is the first year that the real MPG numbers are going to be used. My guess is the goverment, has not given the information to MB thus they could not provide. These new numbers will be lower for all vehicles.

That compares to ML350 at 15/18/20 & ML320CDI at 18/21/24.

You won't get any sustainability points for the 550.

Thanks for the site information. It does appear that there is a slight MPG increase from the ML500. My previous ride, an '03 C320 4matic, was rated at 25 highway but I was able to achieve 30 MPG. If that trend continues with the ML550 I could have a real mileage champ!

I also would like to hear about real world experience. Terrible range (200-250 miles) would keep me out of ML63 I would hope the ML550 would be about twice as good.

07 ML 320 CDI
I can report that these numbers are a bit conservative. My 320CDI gets a consistent 24-25 mpg at 70mph on the freeway, at 55mph I can easily do 2 mpg better. I consistently beat the 21 mog combined by 1-2 mpg

For me, mpg is not particularly important but range is - particularly for a vehicle likely to be used for road trips or hurricane evacuation. Both my E500 and GL 450 have about a 500 mile range on the highway as did my X5 4.4 and even my old Chevy Tahoe. For me, a range close to 500 miles is a must in an SUV.
