I honestly think the dealer was full of **** as my guy at my local dealer probably said was the case, on saturday.

In all actuality no one has been willing to even touch $48xxx let alone do 46 or 47k quote on the Edition 10. As of right now the lowest price I've got (from my local dealer) was around $49,000-$49470. I'll see if things change in the coming days with more emails coming in, most of which are quoting 50xxx if not high 49s.

Otherwise if I do decide to finally get it, I'll probably get it from my guy even if it's a couple hundred more.
You know the old story... If it sounds too good to be true it isn't. Dealers are not out there to sell cars at a loss. The price you were quoted did not make any sense even if there were mfg incentives on it.

Actually I just spoke with a guy at another dealership today who seemed to be very honest. Their cost for the car after holdbacks is $46340 (give or take 50-100 bucks) it's just that most dealers aren't willing to "eat" into it especially on the Edition 10's.

So I'm thinking if I can get it for $47k I'd be happy, we'll se what happens.

Doubt if you can buy it for 47K. Look there is a 7% profit in the car plus a 3% holdback paid to the dealer by MB at a later date. The holdback is designed to keep the dealers in business and very few will eat into that. The markup is excluding shipping which is not marked up. I would look for a 5 maybe 6 percent discount at best unless there is some sort of an MB incentive in effect.
