Brake Failure . . ?

I was parallel parking last night and backing into the parking space when suddenly the brake pedal went to the floor and stayed there. The brakes were locked up tight even with my foot of the pedal. I shifted into forward and tried to move, but the car barely nudged forward, again, because the brakes were locked up. I got no indicator lights, nothing. After several "forward" then "backward" attempts, suddenly the brakes let go and everything was back to normal. The pedal returned to its normal position and everything has been fine since. Weird. I know MB has been taking braking technology to places where it doesn't belong lately. Has anyone experienced or heard about anything like this before?

I solved the brake issue - I upgraded to an ML550! It solved a lot of other issues too. . . .
