2007 ML 500
bi xenon brightness

i just noticed that my ml500's xenons don't look as bright as my 98 s500, or my 07 is250... on both these cars the light is nice and bright white like what you see on s2000's

i noticed some other ml's and gl's that have somewhat similar light output.

has anyone else noticed this?

is there a way for the dealer to check light output by any chance?

Just change the HID bulbs to 6000K (OEMs are 4100K or 4300K) and your problem is solved.

yea, i realize oem xenons are usually around 4300k.

thing is even in my last audi, it was still brighter than my current ml500.

guess i'll have to bring it in to the dealer

Not really. That is the color temperature, and not the brightness. 6000K will most likely reduce your light output.

I'm not sure about your car, but the Xenon's in my ML are the best that I have ever used. Very impressed with them, and would recommend them to anyone.

The IS250 has the worst xenons i've ever seen. The ML's I've driven have excellent light output.
