Window Washer Fluid Message on MFD
Hey Guys,
Stupid but quick question that I can't figure out the answer too. Its Sunday so I figured I would Run it by you guys here before I call the dealer tomorrow morning. I just drained all the window washer fluid out so I can get all the blue stuff out. I just added the de-icer one for the next few months or so. I filled the tank all the way to the top almost 2 gallons. Anyway witjh it full I am still getting the Top Up Window Washer Fluid error message on the display. How do I clear it out? I hit the steering wheel buttons to clear it out and go back to the odometer; however when I turn the car off take the key out and restart it the message comes back even though the the window washer fluid tank is full to the brim. Is there a certain procedure to ckear the message or do I have a problem with the sensor inside the tank. Thanks

Have you used it since you refilled the tank? Try that and see if it resets. Otherwise is could be a faulty sensor. If you removed the tank double check all of your connections.

Probably has to reprime the pump.
Sounds like John's on the right track.
Once you get some liquid through the stystem it should be fine.

must be the sensor. I tried that as well earlier just forgot to mention it in my initial post. didnt remove the tank at all. that seems to be a stupid way to drain it. although depressing the stick in the car like i did is just is not so much better.

finally made it to the dealer, no leaks or anything and the sensor was fine. They had to flash the S.A.M. (sp?) to correct the error message
