Talking ML320 CDI & Large Dogs

Hi,

Do the rear seats fold completely flat with the trunk? I have a large dog (80lb Belgian Malinois) and I'm worried there might not be enough room with the seats down for him to roam.

Could someone post a pic of the back seats down?

Thanks,

Tim

Folds all the way down. Your doggy will be happy. (Mine loves it) There is a picture in your manual that shows it, and if you have the rear cargo management option, the rear seat bottoms are removable.

Unfortunately I don't have one yet. Going to test drive one tomorrow.

My dad bought one in Canada today and loves it.

Hey Tim, I have four 40lb dogs (three Wheaten Terriers and a Lab mix) and they all pile up in the back without a problem. There's plenty of room to move around.

When we want to keep them in the back (one of them loves the front seat!) we use the MB cargo net, which latches in position either behind the first row if you have the second rown down or behind the second row if you have the second row up.

The only observation I have is that the back end trim of the seat cushions is made of fabric (instead of leather or MB Tex) so when the second row is down (and yes it goes totally flat) the trim faces up and it can get dirty paws if you don't have the net up.

I'll take pics today and post tonight so you can see the whole thing in action. Welcome to the forum!

Jose

Hey Tim, sorry for the delay in the pics... it's been a crazy week. I promise I'll get them to you this weekend.

Hey Baxter no worries. I'm pretty convinced that I'm going to go with the ML320 CDI. I drove one the other day and it was great.

I still look forward to seeing your pictures though; just don't feel like you need to rush!
