2002 BMW 320, 2008 ML350
Rear view mirror and garage door codes question
If the rear view mirror is replaced will I have to reenter by garage door codes? It is something I would really like to know. Anybody know the answer? This is concerning a ML350 2008 model.

Yes, the Homelink® transmitter is contained within the rear view mirror.

Thanks for your reply. So the codes are stored in the mirror proper and not in the car?

Yes, the entire Homelink® circuitry is contained in the mirror housing.

You can make the new homelink "learn" very fast. Look at the car manual, it is just a few minutes job.
