NavTeq COMMAND DVDs

Has anybody bought a navigation update DVD directly from NavTeq? They seem to be cheaper than through a dealer but didn't know if they worked exactly the same. Any pointers? I have a 07 ML320CDI. The current version listed on the NavTeq website is v5.0. Any idea what year that corresponds to?

ML320CDI 2007
I purchased the Navteg update for my 2007, and there was no issues with it; I dont recall them listing it as a v5 disc however, it was something like 2007.1

I called them on the phone, gave them my model and they shipped the right disc; the package was exactly the same as the one that came from factory, the silk screen on the disc was identical, minus the updated version number on the disc itself; it did an "update" tot he system when I installed it, took I think 10 minutes before the NAV was usable, so plan on that when you do it;

The MB part number at the dealer was the same as what Navteq shipped me BTW

Problem w/ updated DVD

I have an 06 ML 500 and bought the update DVD. Followed the link MB emailed to me.

I did have issues with the upgrade. The updated DVD does not work with many addresses in my address book - leading me to a different location than the address book entry. The final destination is within a 2-3 mile radius of the intended destination, but it's not the intended address.

Dealer still looking for a fix.

Keep in mind that once you use the updated DVD, you can't go back to the old one!

Perhaps it's karma for recently getting an MB for less than 5-6% off MSRP
