Your opinions

I just went by a local tuning shop today to try to get some information regarding tuning my 2007 ML500. I know very little about tuning except what I have learned here at mbworld. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal or not?

Renntech ECU upgrade $1,795.00
K&N or BMC Air Filters x 2 $200.00
Brabus exhaust $2,500.00

TOTAL with taxes and labour is $4,900.00

Now I think the guy made a mistake because he confused my ML500 with an ML550. I say this because he said the Renntech upgrade would bring my HP to 402 and torque 405. Thats a HUGE jump from my current 302 and 339.

My questions are:

1. What are my realistic increases in HP and torque with these mods?

2. Can I get away with doing, say the ECU upgrade and the filters, and leave the exhaust for another day?

3. Is this pricing any good?

Thanks all for your info!

All of this, of course kills your warranty.

The K&N will kill your mass air sensor as well (as well as provide zero/zip/nada improvement in either performance or filtering).
