Rim Offset

Hey all,

I tried to get an answer on this in the Tires and wheels section with no luck.

I'm looking for wheels, but most of what I find have 35 offsets. I want to stay with an original look, and go from 18x8.5 to 19x9.5 or 20x9.5.

Can anyone show me what a 35 offset looks like on a W164. I want to see a head on shot from the side. Or a rear shot from the side.
I know 8.5 to 10" widths will make a difference, but hopefully someone has a photo and knows the wheel specs.

Thanks,
Frank

Thanks,
Frank

I you're lucky there's probably one person in the entire USA that has fitted this exact combination to an ML.

If you're really lucky, they subscribe to this forum.

If you're really, really lucky, they'll take the time to take some pictures for you.

Are you feeling lucky?

OK Kent, I get the picture now... no pun intended.

That explains why I can't get any info on this.
I still find it odd that I there so many wheels for these cars that have 35 and 37 offsets. Well at least that what the ebay guys state "ML, R, GL" I don't think they realize the offsets are way different.

Does anyone have any info on wheel well flares that will help accommodate a smaller offset?

The one in this forum might be able to help you is Luke at Technical Assistance>Tire-Wheel. Good luck.
