-How are diesel vehicles never owned one?
-What are the ups and down of the M class?
-Any suggests of what option are good to get or not like handy?

Jus purchased the ML 320 CDI model with P1 if I was going to do it over again I would make sure it had all the P2 package and the skid plates. Maybe parking sensors and the parktronics.
over all I am very pleased with the unit and how it handles. The MPG is better than whats on the sticker. So far no problems

I got a ML320 CDI with Tv's-Premium Package-Sport Package-Trailer Hitch-Bi Zenon Headlights I am a happy camper!!!!

Bought the wife an ML320CDI P2 back in late summer. Unfortunately, MPG's aren't as high as I was expecting by alot, currently averaging 24.6... 
Only had 1 issue to date, which was stereo kept shutting itself off and then back on... Fix was to replace the Glow Plugs which took me by surprise... It's been good in the Colorado Snow so far this year, power seems to be up some from when new. Pants dye seems to transfer real easy to the Ash Gray seats so I have to clean the seats alot which isn't really a big issue. We love the Serius Satelite Radio, Heating package ( all 4 seats, steering wheel) Active Bi-Xenons work well on the twisty,wooded mountain roads we drive. Wish it had Airmatic as it seems to be very softly suspended and seems to "float" compared to my lowered E500 4-matic... It's a great ride for my wife though which is why we bought it... Not at all noisy compared to my Diesl Ford, no smoke, no black exhaust... Tons of Torque on tap when you need it....
