Heated Steering wheel ??

has anyone attempted this mod ???? Other than the heated steering wheel...what else is involved...l see the stalk for the telescopic steering wheel has a light in the end...Just curious ?????

Mine came from the factory with this option. It works, but not nearly as well as BMW's heated steering wheel. Just like MB's heated seats, it seems to ramp the heat down, over time.

Any more thoughts.........

l was able to pick up a heated steering wheel from one of our members, thanks for that, as well, l have purchased the telescopic stalk with the light in the end to perform this mod...l was told by my parts guy, l need a control unit that sits underneath the airbag as well...l'm assuming, that must be the timer....Maybe even a little wiring harness as well..l was just wondering, if l have the front heated seats and the heated side mirrors, wouldn't that control unit be there as part of the heating package ?????
