Question on 2006 ML350
Heya,
MY GF just went out (without me) and bought a 2006 ML350.
We were supposed to be going together, I had found some great deals on lease returns, like 25K miles with heated leather seats and such for 22K.
Or a 2007 with all the options including Zenon for 24.5.
We got in a fight New Years day...she went and bought a car on her own!
Well, that's ok with me, I won't get blamed if there's problems.
She ended getting one with 47K miles....hmmm....and didn't have it looked over at all. She got it for 21K. Not the best situation since cars with 20K less miles were going for the same price with more options.
In any case it's beautiful. A major upgrade from her busted down
190K mile 1998 Ml320.
I'll be happy to ride in it.
What are the most common known issues to look for?
We want to make sure we make the most of the remaining warranty.

She went out yesterday and bought a 2006 ML350 with 41k on it.
It is the sport package and is has the 19" rims, the car is beautiful!
I am confident that since it is under warranty from MB still you and I should be fine...LOL.
I am taking it to the dealer on monday to just check it up, and I changed the oil today.
Best thing to do is get a carfax (I hope your GF got one) and just see that the car has been serviced. All dealers will report to carfax, so you can see what has been fixed and so on.
Its an 06, so you should be fine, If my wife bought an 05, I dont give a ****, I would have returned it on the spot!

What dealers have you been dealing with? I'm here in SoFl and for cars like that, they're pricing it about ~$30k online. I haven't talked with them yet, but would like to know how much negotiating you guys were doing or were they posted prices? Can you guys share?

...he now, theres nothing wrong with a 190k mile 98 ML320 haha...i still have my 98 with 183k on it and it still drives well...but it is day and night when I drive the 08 ML

I have an 06 ML350 with 36K. Lease is up in May and just ordered an 09. I love the 06 however I have had it back to the dealer 6 times for transmission issues. Sometimes it won't shift out of 1st gear, other times it won't shift into revers, and other times it will only drive in what the dealer called "limp along mode" which means it stays in 4th gear.
I would have bought out the lease but not with these onging issues that the dealer cannot seem to resolve.
