Hi,
I am from Denmark, but have bought a ML500 from LA. The American Comand does not work in Europe - or at least the navigaion doesn't.. so after a long time of trying to make it work, I'm not giving up and trying to buy a new one.. but then I had a thought..
In the US you import cars from Europe with European Comands - with the same problem.. so maybe some of you guys have a European Comand for my ML lying some where?
Hope you can help me..
Thanks

It's not easy (or cost effective) to import a European version of the ML into the US. I think you're going to have to find a European version some other way, maybe from a junk yard?

Hej Christian
it isn't possible to get it to work, since it's two different Manufacturers of the Comand Units.
I'm from Denmark and I might have a Euro Comand unit for sale, it comes from my GL 420 and with a paper from my dealer stating it's not stolen and 100% working.
I'm able to help you put it in.
I live in Copenhagen but often drive to Esbjerg
When you know how to, it's quite easy, put you will have to have it dealer coded if you have more equipment than: back up camera and Ipod which were the only options i have.
Please reply if you're interested.

Euro Comand running US maps has been proven on an older map version

Theoretically you can do it the other way around and I have the same problem. I'll let you know how I get on!
