Stupid Question-Please Help

I am buying a 2006 ML350. I am not sure it is a 4matic. I think by looking at some of the vehicles that year that they did not put an emblem on the back denoting the 4matic. I checked edmunds and they advise that it was standard equipment.

I just don't want to buy a 2wd vehicle. I want the all wheel drive. Was 4matic standard equipment in that year?

All ML's in any year to 09 are 4 wheel drive...some model yrs did not have the 4matic badge I hear rumors thought that a 2 wheel drive version may be in the works perhaps next year

I love the vehicle I am picking up tomorrow and just wanted to make sure. I was in a hurry on Saturday to make a tee time and thought about it.

2009 ML350 is not necessarily 4Matic

If you check the MB website, you'll see that you can buy or build both and ML350 and and ML350 4Matic SUV. That means that for 2009 some ML models will only be rear wheel drive. They did this to get the price down by $2500.
