Differences between US Spec & GCC or Euro Spec ML500

Hey Guys,

how are you? I tried finding some more information on the differences between the US spec ML500 and a GCC spec model. I read in many threads that the GCC spec is very similar to Euro spec.

I went to the Mercedes dealer in the Dubai and asked if there are much differences and he told me that more of the engines power is routed to the AC compressor and that the GCC model has extra undercarriage protection. I couldn't really ask him much, as i was in a rush.

I found a really nice 2006 ML500 which i want to buy in the US and then send to the UAE. Now i read many threads that the Command system might be different and the radio frequencies as well. our stations here are 92.00, 104.1, 104.4, etc... Would i have a problem with the radio part and the navi part of the command system in the UAE?

Moreover, regarding the speedometer... I have a GCC spec S320 and can switch the instrument cluster between Mph and Km/h. Can i do that in the ML as well or do i have to change the instrument cluster?

What else would be different between the US and GCC spec'ed car?

Thanks for the help

The only question I can answer is the speedometer: Yes, you can switch between MPH and km/h.
