Post Pricing for 2010

I'm going to order a 2010 ML550 for the wife, but have not been able to get the pricing. The dealer was able to give me the pricing for the options, but not the base MSRP.

Anyone know when the pricing will be out or what it will be? I've searched and found this question asked, but not answered.

Thanks.

I was just told the same thing. I could order a ML320 BlueTec based on 2009 price estimates BUT I wouldn't know for sure what the real price would be until maybe August

MB is shooting themselves in the foot with me. I would have been happy for MB to build me a 2009 ML320 BlueTec at 2009 pricing. But they won't do that. They say any ML built from now on is a 2010 and the price is a secret

Well at least I'm not the only one. I would have taken an 09 as well, but they couldn't find one in the US like I wanted (stupid lighting package), which i couldn't understand.. and of course I couldn't order one.

I'm actually going to pickup my new c63 (bought instead of the ML) next week and out a deposit down on the '10 ML. I was told that they should have the pricing by mid July... I mean it will not be long before they start showing up at dealers.

Oh, well.. at least I don't need the car yet.

Well tomorrow I'll be at the BMW dealer. If they can build a 2009 X5 35d for a known price, the decision between the X5 35d and ML320 BlueTec will become quite easy. And MB will have lost me as a customer.

BTW I find it ironic that the MB salesman has been telling me that by waiting to make the final decision I would be getting a 2010. At the time it sounded pretty nice. What he didn't say was that I'd have to wait even longer to find how how much I had already agreed to pay for it

No one will "build" you an 09 model in mid July, not MB nor BMW. The only 09's you can order are what is already delivered.

I personally find the X5 35d such a clunker. Too noisy for my taste. The ML is much more quieter IMO.

I have ordered a 2010 ML550 without pricing except for a few options, but not all of them. My deal with the dealer is that if we cannot get to a satisfactory price I will get my deposit back. Just learned my car is to be built on Sept 9th for delivery Sept 23rd or there abouts.

Funny -- I ordered a 2009 X5 35d to be built to my exact specs. in mid August today. And OBTW I locked in the $4,500 incentive (AKA discount) which only applies to 2009 models. FWIW two more dealers said they could still build a 2009 to my specs.and lock in the $4,500 incentive. And guess what, all three dealers were able to tell me exactly how much the X5 would cost me -- as in a contractual price.

MB's inabilty/unwillingness to disclose the price of an ML built-to-order is a snafu of their own making. If MB doesn't want to disclose the MSRP of 2010 models just now.... MB or the MB dealer could simply offer to charge customers ordering an ML, from now until the MB does disclose the price, whatever the existing published price is for an equivalent 2009 ML at the time of the agreement.

If the MSRP goes up, they lose a little cash but keep a customer happy. If the MSRP goes down, they have the option of keeping the difference or making a customer very happy.

OTOH they can continue to keep potential build-to-order customers in the dark and lose some of them to other manufactures -- like they did me.

Near my place in SoCal the dealers are not taking new orders for 09s and only sell off their lots, and MB has long finished ordering 09s so I assumed it was so nationwide. One thing you miss out by going with an 09 is the updated iDrive which is really not a big deal in any event. The other issue they are discussing is the possibility of a Twin Turbo but the $4500 discount makes up for that IMO.

Good job on securing the discount and best of luck to you.

Unfortunately for me, the wife wants the ML550.. and what the wife wants she gets... well that and the fact that I'm getting a c63. I'm hoping to get the pricing soon, otherwise I might have to go with a '10 X5.
