Center wood/cup holder removal? Lost wife's ring!
Hello All,
I removed the ashtray in my 2007 GL450 because it was making a creaking sound and I am a rattle phobic. Of course, my wife then proceeds to sit one of her favorite rings on the center console and it falls into the hole where the ashtray was and into the unknown and unreachable recesses of the vehicle. I assume the procedure for removing the center wood piece in the M class is the same as my GL.
I have tried everything I can think of to get the wood piece out to retrieve the ring with no luck. I have also searched this forum and the web to no avail. Has anyone here ever taken out this piece? I would be extremely grateful for the help so I don't have to take it to the dealer.
I will or course, be reinstalling the ashtray, squeak or no squeak
