ASR keeps kicking will not drive

Recently a 2006 ML 350 came in for a noise. We put it up in the air to listen for the noise and we kept trying to bypass the ASR while it was up in the air just to get the wheels to spin fast enough to see what it was. Turns out it was a wheel bearing. Anyways we fixed the wheel bearing and went to go on a test drive and when trying to accellerate from a stop the ASR kicks in. We pulled codes and tryed to clear them still wont go away. It says ABS in the dash though. Any ideas or problem similar to this?

Define "...kept trying to bypass the ASR...." and we may get more clues to help.

Perhaps a speed sensor in that very wheel was disconnected/ defected. That is the main cause, I guess.
