SRS airbag .... help needed
my SRS light went on my ml500 06, checked my booklet it says need to go to work shop imediatly.... called to make an appointment they told me have to wait for 9 days..... is it bad or is it ok to wait for 9 days...

The light probably means that one of your airbags failed the power-on self test. Chances are it's a bad connection. It does not affect the operation of any of the other airbags. Unless you are planning on having a major collision in the next nine days, I wouldn't worry about it. But do take it in and get it fixed.

I heard somewhere that ALL of the safety electronic features are LIFELONG warranteed, not like the mechanical components, according to the US laws. I don't know is that correct or not.
Besides, waiting for 9 days for the airbag problem corrected is dangerous, the dealer should provide a loaner car. If something happened, who knows the outcome ?
