Battery question

The 06 ML500 I had had 2 batteries one main and one aux, both under the pass seat. Does my new 2010 ML 550 have the same set up or just a single main battery. Reason for my asking is that my new E Class 350 4M has only one battery and the last one an 05 E320 had the main in the trunk and the aux under the hood. Anyone with a 2010 know??

The Owners Manual refers only to "the" battery, the one under the passenger seat.

Sosh, I am 99% sure that I heard my service manager comment that my 2009 ML350 has two batteries, I am sure yours does as well.

Aux battery went away on E-class because SBC braking went away.

Do not doubt you but then can you explain why my 06 ML500 and I believe my 10 ML550 have 2 batteries as they do not have SBC braking?????

I don't want to keep harping on about the Owner's Manual, but it devotes eight pages to the battery, including detailed instructions on removing and reinstalling "the" battery, with a number of diagrams and photos, and nowhere is there any mention of or picture of or diagram of a second battery of any kind.

Understand your harping on the manual. However the 06 ML500 I had as I posted earlier on this thread also had no mention or diagrams of a second battery but it did have it and it was there. I sometimes question the contents of the manuals or the lack of content.
