New 2010 ML350 for the wife
Just though I'd share that I added to our MB collection with a 2010 ML350. I'm pretty excited for my wife, as she is stepping up from an '06 Pathfinder.
We got the following, and am curious what others think of the deal. We had a little help from USAA as well, but bargaining at MB of Honolulu is hard (since it is the only dealer in the islands):
2010 ML350 4-matic (7 miles) with P01, Rear Entertainment Pre-Wire, Rear Entertainment System (dealer installed option) and Heated Front Seats. We were able to get it for $54,200 OTD ($51,550 before TTL). The MSRP was $53,960 + the $1880 Rear DVD install, so it was running close to $56K at MSRP before TTL...I think we did alright, but I guess it is a done deal now anyway.
Having a C63, it is night and day...I didn't realize the roads in HI were as smooth as they are (as I can feel running over a piece of paper in the 6-3), but I can't get out of my own way now (not too thrilled with the power of the 350).
I'll attach some pics when I get them...but just though I'd share the good news.

That IS good news! I think you got a fair deal, considering the dealer is the only game in town, so to speak. The options add up quick. I'm contemplating an ML or a GLK to add to our fleet, but I'm still on the fence as to whether to go new or get a certified used '07, '08 ML. Keep the feedback coming - hope your ML turns out well for you.

Thanks, guys, appreciate the comments. We got black on tan...forget the specific MB-Tex color...it matches my car...I'll take a picture of them together, and it'll look like the "Winter Drive Event" adds, except without the snow here.
So far so good...I like the ride quality, and it seems to do better on gas than her pathfinder (although appreciably smaller too). But the fit and trim is nice.
The GLKs are sweet...maybe smaller, but looks fantastic...they had a few on the showroom, and it was impressive.

Here are some pics of the ML (of course with the C next to it).
Note: My wife still shows allegience to the real "bread-winner" car...
Well, I didn't put the picture of her kissing her car...too sappy!
Also, ordered running boards this week that just came in...$590 shipped (you have to make an offer or two to beat them down), and they are nice...here is the link. I'll install this weekend, but hear it can take 4 hrs if you do it right/slow.

I'd love to except that they were $1100--the dealer wanted 6 hour install time too, so unless I did those myself, I'd be out another $800.
And we looked at the OEM ones when there last week for the rear seat entertainment install...they aren't much different, and taper at the end...we like the more block style...it gives it a more rugged look.

SLS Irridium silver,2014 GL350 BT Irridium, 2015 White Dodge RAM Hemi Quad
Nice choices Miami, both MB look good, I opted for the same game plan on both of the same vehicles but I scared away from the black and stuck to plain old irridium silver, couldnt be happier with both choices, your son seems a little younger than ours, now you need to get yourself one more little one like we did....currently looking into swapping the ML for the GL550, space gets eaten up with a two year old and 4 month old!

Thanks, AMG...and we think the same as well...I would have prefered 2 x silver over black cars...but when push came to shove, I was able to work down some deals on what was sitting on the lot. I'd rather save a few K's...since to me, color isn't a huge factor.
Also, we have a 10 mos old to go with the 5 yr old...so, it is a bit tight...but we went from a Pathfinder to this...what we lost in a bit of cargo room, we picked up in 2nd row seating. Darn kids getting to ride in style all around town...I grew up riding in the back of an Oldsmobile Tornado...
I'd love to upgrade to the GL550...but the cost is very prohibitive right now. In HI, it is VERY hard to work deals, especially on the more expensive cars...they'll discount a C-series all day, but try and break them on something more, and they'll tell you to walk. There are enough people with $$ here, and not enough MBs, so supply/demand takes over and I'm on the losing end
