ml 350 2008 alarm goes of on its own

ml 350 2008 alarm goes of on its own
so this morning i wake up to my ML's alarm on for no apparent reason.
i try to press the button on the key to stop it and it does not work
so i go the car push the unlock button and the car does not unlock. i manually inserted the small key and got in put the key in ingition and alarm stoped
THEN......a few hours later i go to the car my trunks open and i cant close it nor from the inisde button or from the key, not to mention the key still does not open the CAR???
what is the problem is it that maybe the battery for key is dead or somethin
??
if anyone has any ideas or sugestions they would be great

I have the same problem today just after the thunderstorm. Parking in the garage I noticed some strange sound coming from the back, like a kind of humming electric motor. Then after half an hour later, the horn went off non-stop and although I can start the engine, when I lock or unlock the car, the passenger rear door pin doesn't go up/or down.
Called the MB Roadside Assistance and they will send somebody to look at it under warranty.
Will report what they find later. Annoying for a Mercedes Benz.

Common problem: Defect tailgate motor drains the battery and when its juice dry up, we'll have a Christmas tree light up in the cluster, saying Airbag system malfunction, brake lights blown, turn signal lights out....and so on.
Why don't they make a "regular" electric system ? No power= just die, silently and peacefully like other car brands.
