wipers go on when signal stalk is used

Hi, I have a '07 model ML and in the last couple of months, I noticed that whenever the signal stalk is used to turn left, and in the process of turning, the windscreen wipers would occasionally go on (one wipe only). This doesn't happen all the time and I have referred to the local MB dealer. Unfortunately, they were not able to replicate the problem and couldn't find any such problem on their database. Does any member have any clue and how should I approach MB dealer again to get them to do something differently please?
thanks.
Hao.

Never heard of this one before. Are you certain you are not hitting the washer button even lightly, not enough to trigger the washers, but enough to cause the wipers to do a cycle?? If there is a fault could be a bad switch in the stalk or perhaps a wiring fault in the column or stalk.

The "turn signal switch" is officially called a "combination switch," and you need a new one.

Verify you've actually turned the wipers off, i.e. instead of leaving the switch in one of the intermittant positions (waiting for moisture on the windscreen).
