My 08 ML's navi needs an update badly and the dealer is charging $300 for it. Is this right or is it covered under the warranty? Should I try another dealer?

Any places online I can buy the disc/download?

Order it direct from the Navteq site, but wait a few months and the next update will be available, the 2010 update came out last Oct so the 2011 update is just around the corner for less than 300

 

So are there people who pay $300/yearly? I find it pricey if your doing it yearly. Guess Ill wait a few months

 

2 or 3 yrs for me...I dont think there is any major upgrades from yr to year...unless your living in an area thats undergoing serious road and route changes...navteq runs about 249 which is up from 199 a few yrs ago but should stay there for awhile
