Problem after fueling

Hi all,

New owner of an 06 ML500 and new to MB. Bought this one loaded with 50K miles on it. We have owned it for a month and it has started having issues. Last week when refueling it, it started to run very rough about 1/2 mile after. It ran bad for about 40 miles or so. A check engine light came on, so the next day I was headed to the dealer with it and the light went off and all was fine till this week. A few days ago the wife filled it up and it didnt want to start. It took 4 tries, then started and was fine. We are filling it with the premium, name brand fuel everytime.

Anyone ever heard of this or had it happen to them?

Thanks

Steve

Same gas station ? Water in the gasoline ? or could be clogged fuel filter.

Since it happened right after a fillup chances are you got some bad fuel as suggested by this poster which in turn messed up your filter, I'd suggest cleaning the tank right out and starting with new fuel and then install new filter...****ty deal but it does happen
