New K1 7G-Tronic

hi, i'm italian! i have a ML 320 W164 with some problem at 7g-Tronic, some "blow" when it scale. i have talk with my mechanical and he told me that mercedes have do a new clutch K1, for correct the first gear that cause most problem to 7g-troni....you have some information about that new K1??

Do not really understand what your problem is. However there have been some issues with the 7G in the past. These involved rough downshifting when going into first gear. It was corrected with a software update and/or a new valve body. Have heard nothing about clutch issues. The newer transmissions do not seem to have this issue.

sometimes when the exchange downshifting do some "blow" and it's involved rough downshifting when going into first gear. i have changed the oil and upgrade the software but I haven't solved the problem. my mechanical and he told me that mercedes have do a new clutch K1 that can resolved my problem, you know what is that new K1??
you said to me that the problem can may be caused by valve body. what is the valve body? how much does it cost? when i can read some information about this?

Never heard of a clutch issue or an updated clutch. The valve body is part of the transmission and I believe its external so the trans does not have to be removed to change it. As for the cost I have no idea as I have never had the issue and my ML is in warranty. You also do not mention the year of your ML or where you are located. If I were in your position I would take your ML to a dealer, not a independent shop and have them correct it.

my ML is year 2005...the car is perfect ad the problem isnt' very warned, the change is sometimes a little rough. The exchange was controlled with PC stardiagnosi in workshop MB and their not found errors...but if i can improve with new K1 i replace it....I'm still waiting for a response from the factory MB for new K1...
