how to fix hole in rear bumper cover?

I have ml500 and while in camping, actually after camping I have noticed that my rear bumper cover has three about 3-4 inches by 2 inches holes.
Holes are irregular, looks like something heavy fell down and broken the structure of the bumper cover.

How to fix hole in rear bumper cover? or should I buy whole assembly?

Only a good quality body shop can tell if you if it can be fixed or needs to be replaced...either way, it will need to be painted to match and wont be cheap..if it was me, I'd just replace it even if it was ''fixable''...let us know when its done and the type and cost of repairs they did

Here in Australia we have specialist repairers who just fix bumpers. Some even have an exchange service.

I once repaired a bumper using fibre glass and resin applied on the inside to repair a hole and then finished off the outside with auto body filler. Then preped the existing paint with plastic undercoat where it was sanded down to the undercoat, used 800 grit to rub back the rest before repainting the whole bumper.

fill with bondo or bumper repair, wet sand, prime, paint , clear - person must know how to do a blend else your going to have to paint the whole bumper

not a diy job if you want it done right
