It is a firm counter-clockwise twist.....that all. Ask a lady to try it first, men's hands do not fit well into the housing, you will curse the day you opened the headlight assembly.

They are right. It will hurt. Also same for the parking light bulb. (Usually the left one)
The second time around you will happily unbolt everything in your way.
One day I will meet the engineer who designed this and make them remove the bulb a few times.
