help needed "x pipe"

need help regarding an x pipe...
i installed two magnaflow mufflers to my ml500 2006, and i got the true x pipe from magnaflow also, i removed the resonators so i can put the xpipe .. i noticed that there is an x right before both mufflers, so i ended up putting straight pipes instead,, i just wanna know if its better to remove the stock x pipe and install the true x pipe from magnaflow..
please need your help...
thanks

I would run the X pipe from Magnaflow. The proper way to find the right spot for the X pipe is to run the exhaust straight duals without an X or crossover of any kind. You can spraypaint up and down the pipe from the cats to the mufflers and run the vehicle pretty hard through the gears a few times and raise it back up on the lift. The point at were the paint is more heat damaged is were the reversion is taking place the most in the exhaust and thats were the X needs to be put in.
