What is this metal trim called?

A friend of mine bent the metal plate under the front end of his 2010 ML350.. Do you know what that's called or the part #?

2010 ML550, 2010 E350 4M, 1966 Corvette Convt C2

Its refered to as the front skid plate. Don't know the part number but any dealer parts dept can help you.

Yes, Americans call it "skid plate" and your dealer parts department will understand that.

FWIW in Europe this part is called "optical underride protection" since it only "looks like" it will do that job. It's no more a skid plate than the black vinyl it replaces.

I hit a car a couple months ago and have a similar situation, but not as serious as yours. I went to the dealer and they quoted me 590 for the front skid plate.......

CLK320, ML550, SL55, GL450

Seems Ebay has replacements (or bull bars instead) for around $200 shipped.
Doubt its hard to figure out how to replace once you have it in your hands.
