ML 350 Rest button malfunction

I have a 2011 ML 350. When I walk out to garage after ML has been turned off and locked for 30 minutes or more, I frequently find the Rest button is on and the fan recirculating hot air into the cabin is on.

When it is unlocked, this turns off. It does not seem to repeat itself with second locking.

Has anyone else had problems with this?

Never experienced this in my 2010 ML550 nor did I in my past 2006 ML500. This is a new one!

Never heard of this. Sound like a trip to the dealer to have some software updated.

My 10 does the same thing. I have to take it back for other small issues. I'm gonna see what they have to say.

It seems to happen after:

I have turned off the AC while using heat only. I shut down the entire HVAC about five minutes before I park. I do NOT however hit the Rest after shutdown...

Back from Dealer:

Repair sheet says...

" What customer is describing is a normal function called afterblow to dry out evaporator. I turned this function of w/ sds to suit customer."

That doesn't really 'suit' customer by the way. I would have rather had him say it was normal but different from Rest feature and then ask if I wanted it off.
