Weathertech Floor Liners and coverage

Just got a set of the Weathertech digital floor liners in for my 2011 ML350. They seem to fit very well, however I must say I am a bit disappointed in the coverage area of the front liners. Specifically, on the drivers side - the liner only covers abotu 1/3 to 1/2 of the dead pedal area. On the passenger side - it seems that the liner coverage does not extend upward toward the firewall as much as I have noticed on my prior vehicles with weathertech liners. Anyone else notice this ?

I wonder if the MB OEM liners (that are made by Weathertech) provide any better coverage ?

I noticed the same thing.I expected the front pieces to extend all the wall up the foot well. Still , quality pieces and fitment.

I have OEM MB All Weather mats in my ML 350 and they DO NOT cover any of the dead pedal area. Have to keep left foot on the floor to keep dead pedal clean!?! Passenger area is covered adequately.

You have better coverage than me for dead pedal.

I've been in touch with Tech Support at Weathertech and they explained that the lack of coverage on the ML350 is a limitation of the equipment that they use - they can only make them up to a certain depth, and the ML350's steep slope up to the firwall reduces the distance they can go up.

Still it doesn't help when the mud and slush start coming...

They gave me the option to return, but I don't know of anything that will cover any better, but for $180 seems I could find something !

So I ordered some of this Non-slip rubber with adhesive back to cover the dead pedal area. How'd I do ?

I had the same issue. What I did was leave the thick rubber MB mats in place that cover the dead pedal and floor area very well, and place the liner over it. The rubber mats clip in place and the liner friction against the mat is sufficient to stop the liner from sliding upwards into the pedal area. Works great.
