Oil leak on ml 500

I have a small oil leak on the drivers side of my engine. It must be kinda common on the 500 engines because my friend has a cls 500 leaking the same place. Dow anyone know what seal or gasket is probably leaking ?

Is it oil or power steering fluid? If its power steering, my ml550 had a bad o-ring seal on the reservoir where it connects to the pump. Very common problem I am told.. The ML500 has the same type of design.. Mine was leaking on the drivers side also when I noticed it.

Or it could be the Valve Cover Gaskets, also a common leak. Both are as common as the front diff failure. Oh haven't had that $6k common problem yet?

Mark.
