Faulty Brake booster sensor?

Hello, this is my first post. i just joined the site but i have used this forum numerous times in the past to fix plenty of car from the C240, E500, C55, and my ML500. First and foremost, I want to thank you for the massive amount of information this site had provided me.

But, I am running into a problem with my 2005 ML500 special edition. The BAS/ESP light has come on. I was hoping for the easy fix like in the W163 with the brake switch. I scanned the codes and they read:
Solenoid valve a7/7y1 electrical fault
Release switch a7/7s1 electrical fault

I have researched on google and on this site. the sensor is on the brake booster. I was wonder does the codes mean that the sensor is bad or the wire harness is bad?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I had the same problem on our 06 ML 500, and the the brake pressure sensor was the fix. Once changed the braking peddle pressure also improved.
