ML350 2006 or 2007
Looking at picking up a Used ML350.
I though all ML's have AWD? Although some of the SUVs do not have a "4matic decal" on the back.
Why would this be?

2011 GL450, '06 R500 traded, '08 ML350 sold
Yes you are right, they are all AWD. For 06 they started putting on the 4Matic badge right in the middle of the production year. Same with R classes. I guess the SUV war was heating up at the time and they decided they needed to let everyone know there is a 4Matic in that truck.

Actually they did make a few Rear Wheel Drive only ML units. Somewhere between 07-09? Just a few units to offer customers a choice to save some cash if they didn't need the 4matic option. Check the VIN or firewall placard before you buy, or look under the front wheels to see if there are CV axles.
