Where is fuse/realy for lift gate latch/lock mechanism on 2007 ML350

Hi in my 2007 ML350 lift gate won't open, goes up/down but there is no lock/unlock grinding sound and I have to open it physically with latch form the inside.. It appears lock mechanism doesnt work so could it be burnt fuse/relay?? Where are they located?

The fault may be a software error in the control unit that operates the latch. There is a TSB for that (T80-20-45A) to reprogram. Easiest thing to do is to have a dealer do a short test.
The control unit is near the spare tire area, pass. side.
