Glow Plug Control Module

Hi,
Does anyone know where the glow plug control module is located? Any pictures will help. I have a ML 320 CDI.

Thank you,

I replaced the control.....works like a dream, CEL is now off. Cost was $130 for unit and 20 minutes to install.

Thanks for all the help.

I replaced the relay, called the controller. I had a code that pointed to the number 2 cylinder glow plug. I replaced the glow plug but ecu did no reset it self....continued with the same code. After a while, the glow plug indicator lamp turned off within seconds but came on after the car started for another 40 seconds. CEL remained on. Symptoms pointed to the glow plug controller.

Hope this helps.

I am getting messages regarding the controller.
The original part number is:6421532279. This is replaced by a new part number:6429002700. I bought my part from http://www.genuinemercedesparts.com/. This a Mercedes dealership with an online presence. You can search by part number or vehicle. Reliable folks, takes three days to arrive on my doorstep. Cost was $131.20 plus &10.99 shipping.

Good luck.

It is under a bracket on the top front right side of the engine.

There is a you tube video of it being replaced on a Jeep that I found very helpful.
