High pitch whine after engine shut off ...
I have a 2012 ML350 that emits a high pitch whine sound from the engine after the engine is shut off. It lasts about 5 or 10 minutes.
Anyone know what is causing this and if it is "normal"? The car has 2500 miles on it and runs great. I don't know if it always did this.

May be some type of pump that runs for a few minutes after shutoff. My wife's last E320 did this sometimes. It was some sort of electric coolant pump for the heater.
Also on her GLK there is some feature that runs the A/C fan for a few minutes to dry out or air out the air conditioning system if needed.
Check with the dealer and let us know.
