ML Wheel & Lowering Suggestions... Please Help
Hi guys,
I’m new to this forum stuff and still getting the hang of it, so please bear with me...
I was wondering if you have any opinions on this topic from personal experiences or from friends that you have.
I wanted to change up my ML500 a little bit, but haven’t really figured out what to do about the wheels and ride height.
I have the regular stock suspension set up. (not airmatic)
I wanted to lower it a little and was wondering about which springs to use...
Things I want to avoid as much as possible are:
- Camber issues. I would only like products where it can be adjusted properly.
- Firmness of the ride. I want it to sway less in the turns, but I don’t want to feel every crack in the road.
- Damaging shocks & struts. I would like springs that don’t reduce the life of other factory parts too much.
The wheels are still standard (18’’ 5 spoke), but will be changed to some nice 20’’ or 22’’ Lexani or Rennen Forged wheels, once it’s time to buy a new set of tires, which will be really soon.
I’m looking not to ride too high and compromise the ride quality.
- Pros and Cons of 22’’ wheels would be appreciated. (20’’ are the largest I ever owned)
- Lexani or Rennen Forged? (Looking for quality and light weight)
Any info you guys could share would be greatly appreciated.
If posts are really helpful and a decision has been made, Pics of final product will be posted.
Thanks in advance!

I just put 22" Mercedes-Benz Replica on my 2007 ML350 with 285/35 R22 tires on it... The car drives good and smoother, now I am looking to Low it with H&R Kit that does 1.9"/1.5" Front/ Rear. Then I will see how to switch my light to HID 6K...
