My Analogue Clock Stopped Working Please Help !

Guys my 07 ML63's Analogue clock in the instrument cluster stopped working. I tried to adjust it thru the command to no avail. Brought it to the dealer who tried a software upgrade and still no dice.

They are quoting me $ 2300 for a new cluster to fix my CLOCK PROBLEM

Anyone have sugestions??

Thanks

Buy an Omega instead?

Seriously though, I guess find a used one or do an internet search for someone that can repair the clusters. I hope this is not the typical life expectancy that we are approaching. I get the feeling these ML's are designed to go obsolete causing the owner to want to get the newer model.
