2006 ML500
Leaking $hock?

I noticed a rather significant amount of oil under the right rear of my 2006 ML500 (70,000 miles). I crawled under it and it looks like the oil is coming from the shock absorber. I do not have air-ride. I did some research trying to price the shock and I was "shocked" to see the the replacement is $200!!! I usually go to an Indy shop and plan to for this but does $200 just for the shock sound like a lot? The indy will probably get $100 or so for labor - so over $300 to replace ONE shock???!!!

To make matters worse, you really need to replace in pairs. Most important if there is more than 50K miles on it. Found this, its close to 200, but free shipping.

His 2019 RAM Cummins Turbo Diesel Laramie; Her's 2007 ML320 CDI P3; Mine BMW R1200R
You would be more shocked if you had my Airmatic. Those are +$600 each.
Pay up for both, and call it a day.
